Man charged with yelling, not leaving Whistler’s Tavern

WATERTOWN — City police Sunday charged Justin M. West, 25, Oneonta, with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, a misdemeanor, and refusing to move on, a violation.

Police charge that at 1:48 a.m. Mr. West stood on the sidewalk in front of Whistler’s Tavern, 109 Public Square, yelling, after being told to leave multiple times by police officers. He was taken for processing to the Metro Jefferson Public Safety Building, where he refused to provide personal information, photographs or fingerprints during the arrest process.

Mr. West was held pending arraignment in City Court.
